Notes from Exchange Connections conference
A few weeks ago I attended the Exchange Connections conference in Las Vegas. The conference was pretty good. It was not quite as good as TechEd, but I was not expecting that it would be either. The conference was organized fairly well. The one major disappointment I had was the fact that the session materials (powerpoint presentations) were not available before the conference, and most are still not available.
Here are a FEW notes that I typed up while listening to the keynote address:
- Productivity
- Innovation
- Cost-Reduction
Invest in tools to help you be more productive and that will help innovation.
Speed of growth of data:
- Estimated in 2003 that there was 5 Billion GB of Data on the Web
- Estimated in 2009 that there is 40 Billion GB of Data on the Web
Email is a huge part of this.
While Cloud email services is a hot topic and growing fast, it’s estimated that 80% of email services will remain on-premise.
